The RPF constable, identified as Rajpal Singh was arrested here this morning when the woman approached police after reaching the national capital on Mussoorie Express and filed a molestation case at the Old Delhi Railway Police station.

According to the victim's complaint, the incident took place inside the ladies coach of the train where Singh was deployed.

"His job was to ensure safety of women passengers but instead he misbehaved with the woman when the train left Gajraula Railway station in Uttar Pradesh's Amroha district at around 5 am," said a police official.

The woman raised an alarm and with the help of her co-passengers, overpowered him and did not let him leave the coach. Once the train reached Delhi, she made a PCR call around 8.20 am and informed us following which we arrested Singh. Later in the day, Singh was produced before a local court which sent him to jail, a Delhi police official said.
