On October 30, one Bunty, resident of JJ Colony Jahangir Puri, was stabbed to death by three men including a juvenile near his house.

"We received a specific information that the accused in the murder case would come to Rohini. Following which a trap was laid and the minor was apprehended. During interrogation, he revealed that the victim and accused persons all live in Jahangir Puri and had been fighting with each other over petty issues since quite some time," said Ajit Singla, Additional Commissioner of Police, (Crime).

The minor's uncle had a criminal past and he was unhappy with Bunty's growing clout in the area.

"Bunty had an altercation with one of the accused about a year ago in which Shoaib, one of the accused, was badly beaten up by Bunty. Shoaib wanted him to teach a lesson. On October 30, Bunty and his friends Rohit and Raman were on their way to have dinner at a local dhaba in J Block Jahangir Puri. When, Kuldeep, Shoaib and the minor intercepted them on the way. Suddenly, the two caught hold of Bunty, the minor stabbed Bunty to death," said Singla

Police said that the minor has been apprehended under relevant sections of the Indian penal code.

"Being a JCL he was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and has been sent to an Observation Home. While teams have been formed to nab the other two," said Singla.
