Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was a served a notice and asked to join investigations in connection with the assault case on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, police said on Wednesday.

The police notice was sent to the Kejriwal's official residence and received by his staff, but no communication has come from the Chief Minister's office, sources said.

"The Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, Karan Singh Rana, delivered the notice. The CM has been asked to be present at his residence or office at 11 am on Friday to join the probe," said Harender Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North).

Senior police officers said in case the time is not convenient to Kejriwal, it can be changed. In April, Delhi Police had questioned Kejriwal's private secretary Bibhav Kumar in connection with the alleged assault on Prakash at Kejriwal's residence on February 19.

The replies submitted by Kumar were not satisfactory, police had stated earlier.
