The police told that the victim lived with her family at a rented accommodation in the Kalyanpuri area.
When a 16-year-old girl complained of uneasiness and was taken to the doctor, it was revealed that she was pregnant.
Her family then reported the matter to the police on Saturday and a married man was arrested for raping her on the pretext of helping her clear Class 10 board, said the police on Tuesday.
The police told that the victim lived with her family at a rented accommodation in the Kalyanpuri area.
The accused was identified as Abhay Kumar, 32, a resident of Maharani Bagh area. He was arrested from his home. The accused is married and stays with his family.
The victim in her complaint said that in December 2017, she received a friend request on Facebook from a man who identified himself as Abhay. After a few days she accepted the friend request. During the chat, she informed him about her upcoming broad examination and that she had to take coaching but had no money to pay the fees. The man insisted her to take money from him but she refused. He told her that he had contacts in CBSE and can help her get good marks in the exams.
"He asked her to come Noida as he needed to discuss something. He took her to a hotel where he given her a drink laced with sedatives. She fell unconscious and he raped her," the victim said in her complaint.
"The accused has been arrested and booked under the charges of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The case is under investigation," said Pankaj Singh, DCP (East).
