Delhi Crime Branch has arrested five accused, including a juvenile involved in abetting the escape of a criminal from police custody. They were arrested from Rohini. Police has recovered three country-made pistols and nine live cartridges from them.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Salman, Sunny, Deepak, Parmod and a juvenile, who had played vital roles in the escape of a criminal named Sandeep from the police custody after firing and throwing red chili powder in the eyes of cops while they were escorting him to hospital for treatment.

“Following the escape, we had formed several teams to nab Sandeep and his other gang members. The joint teams of Crime Branch and Special Cell arrested one of the active gang members Salman, who was involved in the case. Later, the team arrested two more accused, Deepak and Sunny,” said Alok Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch.
