Delhi cop killed in road accident
SI Shiv Kumar (30) and his friend, Manoj, had on Sunday gone to Murad Nagar when a truck hit their motorcycle from behind while they were returning.
A Delhi Police sub-inspector was killed when a speeding truck hit the bike he was riding on Sunday night on Delhi-Meerut Road, police said on Monday.
SI Shiv Kumar (30) and his friend, Manoj, had on Sunday gone to Murad Nagar. A truck hit their motorcycle from behind while they were returning, police said. The SI and his friend sustained serious injuries in the accident and were rushed to a government hospital, where the doctors pronounced him dead on arrival, SHO Sihani Gate Ashok Shishodia said.
Manoj is undergoing treatment, he said. The truck has been impounded and the driver arrested, Shishodia added.
