Delhi: 100 missing kids reunited with family by Anti-Human Traffic unit

Nearly 100 children including three specially-abled kids, who had gone missing, were reunited with their families by the Anti-Human Traffic unit of northeast Delhi. The kids belonged to Delhi, Haryana, UP and Bihar etc.

Deputy commissioner of police (northeast), Atul Thakur said, “The northeast district is densely populated sharing borders with Uttar Pradesh. A large number of public lives in this district and many missing, kidnapping cases are reported in different police stations of the northeast district. Anti-Human Trafficking Unit has reunited 100 missing children with their families. 

The staff visited various shelter homes and Juvenile Homes of Delhi NCR and traced 100 children, who were found to be staying in different shelter and children homes and they were reunited with their families.

The traced children were from the ages of five years to 18 years. Out of 100, 79 children were males and 21 were females who hailed from various states including UP, Haryana, Bihar and Delhi. Most of the children were from a poor socio-economic background.
