The DDA had invited recommendations and objections from various stakeholders including residents, NGOs, market associations, Residents' Welfare Associations for the Master Plan.
Pubs and restaurants operating in residential areas will soon have to move out as the Delhi Development Authority brings in amendments to the Master Plan 2021 for the national capital. The proposal was approved by Lt Governor Anil Baijal at a meeting held here on Tuesday.
The DDA had invited recommendations and objections from various stakeholders including residents, NGOs, market associations, Residents' Welfare Associations for the Master Plan. Once finalised, the new changes will provide relief to traders in the city who had faced the brunt of authorities during the recent sealing drive in the city.
Earlier, the Centre had recommended banning all pubs and restaurants in residential areas under the mixed land use policy to put an end to sealing by Supreme Court appointed committees.
