The DCW sought a copy of the license provided to the cracker factory if one was issued. It also sought details with regard to the officer who had granted the license. "Whether the land where the factory was built was allotted by DSIIDC? If yes, please provide the purpose for which the land had to be used, Terms and Conditions of the allotment and other relevant documents for the same," said Swati Maliwal, DCW, Chairperson.

Maliwal questioned if the DSIIDC was aware that the land is being used to run an illegal firecracker factory. Maliwal asked for names and designations of the officers, if any, responsible for ensuring that the factories running in Bawana are abiding by the Terms and Conditions of the allotment of land?

The DCW also asked entire details of inspections carried out by the authorities from 2016 till date and details of illegal factories being run in the area, complaints given by the locals and the proposed action by the DSIIDC for preventing misuse of the allotment of land in Bawana.
