Nearly 200 people, including 32 women, were arrested late on Saturday night from a rave underway at a farmhouse in Sector 135 of Noida. The Gautam Buddh Nagar police later claimed that the organisers had not taken any permission for the event nor informed the authorities, and in fact, most attendees were there through personal invites on social media.

According to the police, the five key organisers of the event have been arrested and identified as Amit Tyagi, Pankaj Sharma, Adnan Ahmed, Balesh Kohli — all from Delhi, along with Kapil Singh Bhati from Ghaziabad.

"We had got a tip-off that a rave party was being held at a farmhouse in the area. Following this, a special team was formed and a raid carried wherein 161 men and 31 women were held at the spot," said Vaibhav Krishna, Senior Superintendent of Police, Gautam Buddh Nagar.

Police said that most of those arrested are between 18-22 years old and belong to Delhi, Haryana and Noida.

"We have also managed to seize 31 hookahs, 112 beer bottles along with 30 liquor bottles that were meant for sale in Delhi only. A case under relevant sections of Excise Act, Food Safety and Standards Act, COTP Act has now been registered," said Krishna.

The police also claimed that most of the arrested accused received the invite for the party through social media. Some of the women were also reportedly called in to entertain the crowd.
