Two police officers were injured when a Swift car rammed into them while they were chasing a snatcher in outer Delhi's Rohini area on Tuesday. The cops are undergoing treatment at a city hospital.

According to the police, Head Constable Dilip and Constable Narender had received a tip-off that a snatcher would be coming to the area. The cops were chasing the snatcher near Sector 24 when a speeding Swift car rammed their motorcycle. The two were thrown off and sustained grievous injuries.

"Dilip sustained a head injury and is admitted to the Max hospital. Narender sustained injuries on his legs and arms, and has been admitted to the Baba Sahab Ambedkar hospital," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Rishipal Singh said.

The car was later seized and its driver was arrested. A case has been registered at the Begumpur police station and further investigation in the case is underway.
