A 16-year-old boy was found allegedly murdered with his throat slit in north Delhi's Sadar Bazaar area on Wednesday morning. Police said the locals informed them that the victim had an argument with a group of people over drugs and later found him lying dead in a pool of blood.

According to the police, the victim has been identified as Sohail, who was a vagabond and lived with his parents in Sadar Bazaar.

"Locals found Sohail lying dead and a police control room call was made. We have been informed that Sohail had an argument with a group of men and was found dead with his throat slit around half an hour later. The boy was taken to a private hospital nearby, where he was declared brought dead on arrival. His family has been informed," said Harendra Kumar Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (north).

Police have registered a case of murder against unknown assailants at the Sadar Bazaar police station. We have formed a team to look into the case. We are also scanning the

CCTV footages of the area and the adjoining areas to ascertain the sequence of events," Singh said.
