When the police team reached the location, they spotted the body of a new born baby girl in the dustbin. "The label on the body of the child revealed that it belonged to a woman identified as Nisha (25) and she had delivered a dead baby girl on January 27," said a senior police officer.
The baby was born prematurely and weighed only 1.42 kg. When the police inquired about the incident, the baby's father was identified as Ramdev. He told the police that his wife had given birth to a dead baby girl. After the doctor handed over the dead baby to him, he threw the body in a dustbin near the mortuary as he did not know what to do with it. Further investigations in the case are underway.
