At 15,000 sq ft, Capital gets biggest co-working space

For a city that has been obsessed with the popular trend of start-ups, co-working spaces sound like sweet music, especially to fledgling entrepreneurs who are always scouting for affordable places to work. In this regard, the Capital has got its biggest co-working space in Okhla, which is also being touted as the largest in the country, especially for such souls.

Spread across an area of 15,000 sq feet, with more than 320 workstations, Sprout Box has been conceptualised with the objective of catering to demanding and flexible requirements of entrepreneurs, freelancers, start-ups and corporates. Developed by Gagandeep Sapra, Sprout Box will also serve as a full-time incubator working closely with food, tech, and hospitality companies. Among other facilities, users can look forward to an auditorium that has a seating capacity of up to 50 people, meeting rooms equipped for presentations, an in-house Data Centre. The facility is open 24x7 throughout the year.

Sapra told DNA that one of the biggest challenges for those who venture into start-ups is the lack of a conducive work environment and offices that are within their limited resources. "Hence, a large part of the investment goes into setting up a decent looking office. This is a big reason why a lot of businesses are literally running out of coffee shops, which also leads to a lack of collaboration between the employees and mentor. We have tried to address this issue for early start-ups as well as freelancers," he further said.

Meanwhile, one of the co-founders Varun Khurana said that in the process, they have also tried to take away the hassle of office maintenance, housekeeping, security and IT, besides providing a platform for dialogue and bringing different communities together.
