A portion of a building in Old Delhi's Daryaganj area collapsed on Tuesday afternoon, injuring four residents. Two of them were reported to be in a critical condition. Rescue and police teams were rushed to the spot and the injured were pulled out from the debris.

The incident took place around noon, when locals heard a loud sound and rushed to the spot. According to the witnesses, a portion of the first floor of an under-construction building had collapsed, and two workers were trapped in the debris. Two men who were passing by were also injured.

"Locals called up the Police Control Room and Fire Services, after which PCR vans and fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital and were declared out of danger. Police have registered a case," a senior officer said.
