A thirty-year-old man who claimed to be yoga trainer to the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind was arrested by the Delhi police for allegedly cheating a foreign national. The accused had even morphed pictures to lure people to donate for his Yoga ashram in Uttrakhand's Rishikesh.

The accused identified as Abhishek (30), a resident of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh runs an Ashram at Tapovan, Rishikesh, Uttrakhand with the name of Rishi Dham Divine Yoga & Meditation Ashram, where he taught yoga to foreign nationals. However, to gather donations for his ashram Abhishek morphed his pictures to make them look like he is teaching yoga to the President Ram Nath Kovind.He later posted the pictures on his social media and asked for donations. Many foreign nationals who thought that he was yoga trainer to the President made donation money to his Ashram.

In one such case, he came in contact with Tatiana Morel a Russian national who was also a yoga trainer in Thailand. While talking to her on social media, Abhishek claimed that he was yoga trainer to the President of India and many other celebrities to which Morel donated rupees five lakh for his Ashram.

However, soon she realised that Abhishek was actually a cheat and had morphed all the images. She then filed a complaint with the South Avenue police station, where she alleged that she was duped of rupees five lakh.

Following the complaint, Abhishek was arrested while he was trying to abscond from his Ashram.

THE CASE

In one such case, the accused came in contact with Tatiana Morel a Russian national and while talking to her on social media, Abhishek claimed that he was yoga trainer to the President of India and to which Morel donated rupees 5 lakh for his Ashram.
