25-year-old man lures minor girl, rapes her in North-West Delhi's Swaroop Nagar area

A nine-year-year old girl was allegedly raped by a 25-year-old man in North-West Delhi's Swaroop Nagar area on Tuesday evening. The accused lured the girl while she was playing outside her house and took her to a bathroom in a vacant building and raped her there. When the girl reached home, she was bleeding from her private parts. She is currently undergoing treatment at a city hospital.

According to the police, the minor girl was playing outside her home on Tuesday evening when the accused, identified as Sonu, lured her to go with him. He took her to the top floor of a vacant building but found the room locked. He then took her to the washroom where he allegedly sexually assaulted her. Sonu then threatened her with dire consequences if she told anybody about the incident.

Her family members, who were already looking for her in the locality, saw her coming out of the building and she was bleeding."Locals had also spotted Sonu coming out of the building and he was arrested within three hours of the crime. Sonu worked as a caterer in the area," said a senior police officer.

The girl was taken to Babu Jagjivan Ram hospital where a surgery was performed on her private part. "She was brought to the hospital around 9:30 pm. A surgery was carried out and she was shifted to Baba Ambedkar hospital. Her condition is stable now," said a doctor from the hospital.
