10-year-old critical after drunk man beats him up
As per the statement of the child's mother Sangeeta she revealed that on Monday while she was at her residence in the JJ clusters at Madipur, Praveen entered her house and started asking for her son Aniket.
A-ten year old child is battling for his life at a city hospital after a drunk man thrashed him and threw him on the road, as he had slapped the man's two-year-old daughter on Monday in West Delhi area. The incident has been captured in one of the CCTV cameras in the area wherein the accused man Praveen, holds the child, lifts him in the air and bangs him on the ground. He was later arrested.
As per the statement of the child's mother Sangeeta she revealed that on Monday while she was at her residence in the JJ clusters at Madipur, Praveen entered her house and started asking for her son Aniket.
"He told me that my son had hit his daughter and he wanted to teach him a lesson. My son was returning home in the evening after playing at the park," said Sangeeta.
She further added that Praveen caught hold of her child in front of her and started thrashing him. CCTV footages from the camera installed in the area shows Praveen first hitting the child and then lifting him in the air and banged him mercilessly on the ground. Sangeeta stated that Praveen was in an inebriated state and did not listen to anyone and thrashed her son.
Aniket received multiple injuries on his nose, forehead and the impact was such that his tooth broke. He is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a local hospital. A case has been registered under section 325 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) at Punjabi Bagh police station. Praveen was later arrested.
