India have 400 runs lead despite the fall of quick wickets earlier in the day.
The second Test between India and England is underway in Chennai and the hosts are in a demanding posting having a healthy lead over the visitors.
The second Test is also memorable as it saw the return of fans to the stadium as the BCCI and Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) mutually decided to allow 50% spectators under strict guidelines amid the COVID-19 threat.
However, even then, there was a possible security breach at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on the third day of the Test.
A young kid was seen climbing the railings during the lunch break and entering the field. Though he didn't come in contact with any of the players, the kid waved at the visiting team from the distance and went back.
News website Sportstar reported about the incident and mentioned that the police got hold of the kid. In case, a fan would've got close to England team, the series may have faced trouble.
As for the clash, India have taken 400 runs lead despite the fall of quick wickets. Indian skipper Virat Kohli and spinner Ravi Ashwin held the fort as both have crossed their respective half-century mark before the dismissal of the skipper.
Earlier in the day, India lost Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel in quick succession. Shubhman Gill was dismissed on Day 2 at the start if the start of India's second innings.
