World Cup 2019: India can make to top four, says Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is all set to take place from May 30, 2019, to July 14, 2019. All teams are gearing up for the big tournament which will be hosted by England and Wales.

Many current and former cricketers have come up with their favourites for the tournament. The latest is Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz.

The left-arm seamer, who is not a part of the squad, has picked his four semi-finalists for the World Cup.

“My favourite team is Pakistan, obviously. I would love to see Pakistan win. We have a good team and I am expecting better results from them,” Riaz was quoted as saying by Geo.tv

Apart from Pakistan, Riaz said, “I think other than Pakistan, India, England, and Australia are teams that can make it to final four of the tournament”.

Pakistan, currently ranked 6th in the ICC ODI rankings. They last won the World Cup in 1992 under Imran Khan’s captaincy in Australia.

Pakistan team are currently playing a five-match series against England. They lost 3-0, despite scoring near 350 runs in each of those ODIs. The team will start their 2019 World Cup campaign against West Indies on May 31 before taking on the hosts England on June 3.
