Kohli said that the incident which made him poorer by Rs 3 lakh happended during a tour of Sri Lanka when he was at the international airport and was getting bored. Kohli said that he decided to watch Comedy Nights with Kapil to pass time. Kohli thought that he will watch Kapil Sharma show using the airport’s Wi-Fi but he watched the comedy show using his phone’s 3G data and it proved costly for him.
Kohli then received a call from his brother who informed him that his smartphone has exceeded the data limit and he has been billed Rs 3 lakh for using the internet. Kohli, however, said that he has no regret for spending so much money for watching Kapil Sharma's show. Kohli recalled the experience on Kapil’s show.
The Kapil Sharma Show is set to retrun on TV on August 21 after a brief hiatus.
