Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni celebrated his 40th birthday with his close family and friends in Ranchi and also received an endless amount of love from fans across.

As his fellow cricketers and fans poured in wishes for the wicketkeeper-batsman, an old video of Rohit Sharma did the rounds on social media.

Known for his witty answers and terrific humor, the Hitman made a whole room of journalists laugh out loud after being asked a question regarding Dhoni's birthday.

The incident is from during the 2019 cricket World Cup in England, where Sharma was taking questions in a press conference. One journalist, a day ahead of MS Dhoni's birthday, asked Rohit if the team had any plans for the celebrations. Soon the opener asked the journalist what kind of response he was expecting.

After the journalist insisted for a while, Sharma smiled and said, "Kya bolun yaar, birthday mein kya bola jaata hai?, Happy Birthday (What should I say, what do we say on birthdays?, Happy Birthday)."

After the journalist asked again if the team had any plans, Sharma gave another funny reply. "Abhi humein pata nahi hai ki hum Manchester jaa rahe hain ya Birmingham", he said. (We don’t whether we will be traveling to Manchester or Birmingham).

He also added that there will be a cake-cutting ceremony for the former skipper and Rohit further said, "photo bhejenge aapko," which got everyone laughing (we will send the photos to you).

As for the batsman, he is currently in England with the Indian squad who will soon begin preparation for the five-match Test series against the host nation.

As far as Dhoni is concerned, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper will be seen in action when the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 will resume again in the UAE after getting postponed due to players contracting the COVID-19 virus.
