Shahid Afridi's remarks against India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) had not gone well.

While the former Pakistani cricketer received backlash from Indians, cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh were also criticised as the Indian duo had pledged support to Afridi's foundation in the fight against coronavirus.

However, after the remarks made by Afridi, Yuvraj and Harbhajan gave back to the Pakistani cricketer saying they were 'upset and outraged'.

"All I have to say is we have nothing to do with Shahid Afridi. He has no right to speak ill against our country and he should stay in his country and limits," Harbhajan had told India Today.

Harbhajan had even gone on to say that as for his relations with Afridi, it's a closed chapter now. "One person asks me to make an appeal for the sake of humanity, and I did my bit. That was it. I have no relation or tie-up with any Shahid Afridi from here on,"

Now, Afridi, who conducted a Question and Answer session on Twitter with his fans was asked, "Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh have said that we do not have any kind of friendship with Shahid Afridi anymore. So what would you like to say about them?".

The former Pakistan all-rounder replied, "We have old and strong relations and I still have respect for both".

In May, Afridi was seen talking against India Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to a video clip reported by ABP news. It is said that the Afridi had visited Kashmir (POK) dressed in army fatigues.

Afridi over there said, "I’ve been deeply humbled by all the love shown to me by the people of Kashmir. I hope that there will be a team from Kashmir in the next edition of the PSL. If there will be a team from Kashmir, I will want to play for that team".

Afridi had also taken to Twitter to comment on Kashmir. "It does not take a religious belief to feel the agony of Kashmiris...just a right heart at the right place. Save Kashmir," Afridi had written.
