Member of the International Cricket Council's Elite Panel of Umpires, Aleem Dar, is offering free food at his restaurant in Lahore to all the jobless people amid the coronavirus pandemic across the globe.

Dar recently took to Twitter and welcomed all the people in need to his restaurant at the Pia Road during this lockdown period.

“During this lockdown, people have become jobless. I own a restaurant named Dar’s Delighto on Pia Road in Lahore. People who are jobless can come there and eat food for free,” Dar said in his video.

“Coronavirus has spread all over the world, and its effects are now being seen in Pakistan as well,” the former cricketer claimed.

“The provincial governments and the central government have issued measures for you to follow for your safety,” he added.

Just like India, Pakistan is also under a complete lockdown to fight against the rapid spread of the COVID-19 with more than 1,000 positive cases.

The virus has brought all sports activities to a halt and players are practising social distancing and self-isolation during the pandemic. The World Health Organisation (WHO) and the governments all around are urging people to stay at home.

The rapid spread of Coronavirus worldwide has started seeing its serious impacts.

India so far has 724 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, as per the Health Ministry, while 17 people have died due to the highly contagious virus.
