Watch: SRH's substitute fielder Jagadeesha Suchith takes stunning catch to dismiss Deepak Hooda

Jagadeesha Suchith has made a habit of coming on the field as a substitute and taking some outstanding catches in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He did a similar thing last year playing for the then Kings XI Punjab against the Sunrisers Hyderabad when he came onto the field and took an outstanding catch on the boundary.

Now, a year later playing for the Sunrisers against the Kings, Suchith grabbed a stunner with one hand after timing his jump to his left to perfection.

The incident took place on the fourth ball of the 16th over bowled by Jason Holder. It was a fuller length delivery in Deepak Hooda's arc and he slammed towards the covers, but Suchith came between the boundary and the ball as he dived towards his left and plucked the ball out of thin air to grab a one-handed blinder as Holder picked his third wicket of the evening.

The bowlers made merry on a sluggish Sharjah surface as the ball was stopping, gripping and keeping low as none of the batters was able to get going. Holder was the pick of teh bowelr for the Sunrisers as he dismissed both the PBKS openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal in the same over.

Chris Gayle, Aiden Markram stitched a partnership but they also struggled and the Kings weren't able to really dictate the terms as new batters were taking time and the moment they wanted to go for their shots, they were getting out.

A couple of late blows, in the end, helped them to get to 125. Fans reckoned that Sharjah was playing like Chennai's Chepauk surface.

The 3 venues for the second half of #IPL2021 in UAE are just 3 different versions of Chepauk.

Pitches are quite slow. Dread to think what might happen in the WT20. And even if the pitches stay the same, it would only approve the Indian think tank who has went in with 5 spinners
