Team India cricketers Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya appealed to the citizens of India to remain indoors during the lockdown period amid coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Krunal took to Twitter and shared a video of him playing cricket with his younger brother Hardik indoors and spending some quality time together.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) and the governments all around are urging people to stay at home.

"Stay safe everyone. Avoid going out, you can have fun indoors as well just like me and my family had. We urge everyone to observe lockdown and stop the spread of the coronavirus," Pandya brothers said.

Both the Pandya brother are integral parts of the Mumbai Indian (MI) side for the 13th season of Indian Premier League (IPL), which BCCI decided to suspend till April 15, 2020, as a precautionary measure against the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in India.

The opening match of this year's IPL was supposed to be played between the most successful teams of IPL - defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) - at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 29.

The rapid spread of Coronavirus worldwide has started seeing its serious impacts. India has imposed a 21-day lockdown till April 14 to combat the spread of novel coronavirus. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), there are 1024 confirmed cases of coronavirus cases in the country and 27 fatalities have been reported.

Worldwide, coronavirus cases continue to rise dramatically, with the number of infections crossing 7 lakh on Sunday. The global death toll has crossed the 33,000 mark. 

The US has the most cases with over 142,000, followed by Italy at 97,689, China at 81,999 and Spain at 80,110. Italy has recorded the highest number of deaths with 10,779, followed by Spain's death toll of 6,803, China's 3,300 and Iran's 2,640.
