Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) allrounder Glenn Maxwell recently got engaged to his fiancée Vini Raman whom he has been dating for a long-time now.

However, the Australian cricketer in a recent video revealed how the proposal to Vini became a complete disaster after initial plans didn’t go as planned.

In cricket.com.au's video, Maxwell explains how he felt very awkward before he prosed and even hid behind trees looking like a creep.

“There were kids everywhere. This is a nightmare. It’s just going so badly. She drove past as I was trying to put the ring back in the box,” Maxwell said.

“She didn’t see me as I was ducking back into the car to get ready, and shut the door and run back into the middle of the park. I hid behind a tree, would have looked like a real creep in a park. There were all these people around, and I thought as long as everyone moves away from the centre of the park, I should be fine,” he added.

HERE IS THE VIDEO:

Maxwell is part of the KXIP squad for the IPL 2020 season which unfortunately got postponed till April 15 due to the recent outbreak of the coronavirus across the globe.

The 13th edition was originally scheduled to begin from March 29 with Mumbai Indians (MI) taking on Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The rapid spread of Coronavirus worldwide has started seeing its serious impacts. India has imposed a 21-day lockdown till April 14 to combat the spread of novel coronavirus.

On March 23, reports suggested that the country's cricketing governing body is also considering to further delay the league if the current conditions don't improve.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), there are 1251 confirmed cases of coronavirus cases in the country and 32 fatalities have been reported.

Worldwide, coronavirus cases continue to rise dramatically, with the number of infections nearing 8 lakh on Monday. The global death toll has crossed 37,000.
