Jozi Stars needed 12 runs to win off two balls with just one wicket in hand. However, Pongolo smashed two sixes in the final over take his team over the line against Durban Heat at Kingsmead.

The Stars were looked in trouble chasing 129 to win. Marchant de Lange started the last over well removing Kagiso Rabada off the second ball. With two sixes needed of the last two balls the equation favoured the bowling side.

However, it seemed suddenly De Lange lost both his line and length. He bowled a high full-toss which was dispatched by Pongolo over the rope and was declared a no ball as well. With 5 needed off the last ball, the next ball was also a full toss and ended over the boundary again making Pongolo a hero for Jonzi Stars.

This the fifth win for the Stars taking them second in the points table in the South African T20 league behind Cape Town Blitz while Durban Heat remained at the bottom.
