Baroda was staring down the barrel in their Syed Mushtaq Ali 2021 quarterfinal clash against Haryana. 19 runs were needed in the final over that was going to be bowled by Sumit Kumar of Haryana. Vishnu Solanki of Baroda had already hit a fifty and had shared a partnership of 68 with Kedar Devdhar. With Abhimanyu Rajput, Vishnu Solanki had gotten Baroda close and when 15 runs were needed off 3 balls, it seemed the game was up. However, Vishnu Solanki channeled his inner MS Dhoni and Javed Miandad and gave Baroda the ultimate win against Haryana.

The fourth ball of the final over was a slower ball from Sumit Kumar and Vishnu Solanki launched it over long-on to get the equation down to nine off the final two balls.
