After an emphatic win at Lord's, Team India is all set to face England in the third Test of the five-match series in Leeds. After the victory, India has taken a 1-0 lead after two games.
The Trent Bridge resulted in a draw, while the following encounter saw Virat Kohli's men registering a 151-run triumph.
However, keeping the past behind, Team India will look to win more than one match in England. So ahead of the third clash, when the Indian captain was asked a question regarding the Indian's advantage to win the match keeping the Three Lions' injury concerns in mind, the talismanic batter wasn't amused.
In fact, Kohli responded to it very well and said, that nothing overshadows their hard work and success.
"Does that depend on the strength of the opposition? Even when the key players are playing, we think we can beat anyone. We don't wait for the opposition to be weak," Kohli said in the post-match press conference.
"I don't think that's the right question to ask a team that has been playing such good cricket for the last so many years, that we depend on the team to be weak to have an opportunity to win a series. That's not how we play and approach a series," he added.
As for the series, the third Test gets underway on Wednesday (August 25) at the Headingley. The ongoing series has also marked the start of the second World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.
While the runners-up of the inaugural edition have certainly made an impressive start to their campaign, Joe Root's men, on the other hand, have some work to do to change their fortunes.
