In the list of most valuable sportspersons released by Forbes on Wednesday, Kohli sits at No. 7 ahead of  golf superstar Rory McIlory​ at No.8 and Messi, who is at No.9.

According to the report, Kohli is ahead of Messi by $1 million in terms of earning. 

The top-10 list is headed by 19-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer and includes just one cricketer in Kohli.
