Virat Kohli breaks silence on reports about his whopping social media earnings

Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has addressed recent reports regarding his huge social media earnings. Taking to Twitter on Saturday, the ace batter rejected the recent news reports estimating his social media earnings as untrue. 

“While I am grateful and indebted to all that I’ve received in life, the news that has been making rounds about my social media earnings is not true,” Kohli wrote on his Twitter handle.

Kohli is responding to recent articles in the media claiming that Kohli demands Rs 14 crore for an individual Instagram post. The reports cite a recent research from HopperHQ. The reports claim that Kohli makes around Rs 9 crore for each promotional Instagram post and with a minimum earnings projection of Rs 11.45 crore. 

HopperHQ lists Kohli at rank 14 in its 2023 Instagram rich list. Footballers Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi rule the roost as per the report followed by US celebrities Selena Gomez, Kylie Jenner and Dwayne Johnson. Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, Beyonce Knowles, Khloe Kardashian and Justin Bieber complete the top 10.
