CRICKET
Team India won their first series under Rahul Dravid as their coach and fans applauded the former Indian cricketer's presence on the field.
Pacer Deepak Chahar inspired a stunning turnaround for Team India in the second ODI with the bat with an unbeaten knock of 69 runs off 82 balls to help his side get home after they were 193/7 with all their batters back in the shed. Chahar played a knock for the ages by a tailender as he himself said after the game that he is working on his batting and the coach Rahul Dravid has said that he could bat at No 7 going further in this series.
Deepak Chahar stitched an unbeaten 84-run stand with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who supported Chahar with a 28-ball 19-run knock. The duo also picked five wickets in total in the first innings and played a major role in restricting the opposition to a total of 275/9.
Dravid, who is coaching the senior team for the first time also got a major share of applause from fans after the game. While Chahar got the most of the plaudits, Dravid, the man behind the action was praised by fans for his presence on the field.
Former Indian cricketer, who is known for being calm and composed on the field was seen running to the dugout during the game to pass on a message to Deepak Chahar through his brother Rahul Chahar and many fans suggested that it was that message that did the trick in the end for the Indian team to get over the one and win the game by three wickets.
