Twitter users had a field day on Saturday as a fan asked Shane Warne, the legendary Australian spinner if the latter knows how spin bowling works after Warne expressed his disappointment seeing no spinner in the New Zealand line-up for the World Test Championship (WTC) final.

"Very disappointed in NZ not playing a spinner in the #ICCWorldTestChampionship as this wicket is going to spin big with huge foot marks developing already. Remember if it seems it will spin. India make anything more than 275/300 ! The match is over unless weather comes in !" Warne wrote after the toss where Kane Williamson announced that they went in with four pacers and all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme.

However, one of the Twitter users thought that it was a good idea to question Warne's understanding of spin bowling, the bowler, who has a total of 1001 wickets in international cricket including 708 in Test matches.

The fan asked, "Shane do you understand how spin works? The pitch gets dry... this pitch won't get dry because for the rest of the test, there is due to be rain."

This comment triggered a string of hilarious responses from many other Twitter users as the response has received over 1.5k likes and over 2.1k retweets out of which 1.5k were quote tweets, the tweet also had over 600 replies.

From former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag to fans, there were varied reactions to the comment. While many wanted to have confidence like that of him, many joked and asked Shane Warne to get some tips about spin bowling from the man himself.
