Finch said that it has been a long time since the group has been together so the warm-up games provide the opportunity to gel together as a unit and be ready for their first game against South Africa on Saturday, October 23.

Australia were resting pacer Josh Hazlewood, who played nine games in the second half of the recently concluded IPL along with wicket-keeper batter Josh Inglis and leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson.

India, on the other hand, rested regular skipper Virat Kohli along with pace duo of Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah.
