T Natarajan's photos of his welcome back to his village after Australia heroics is simply brilliant

T Natarajan had a grand tour of Australia, making his debut in all three formats against the same opponent in the same country. Having achieved that bit of history, T Natarajan made an impact in the Twenty20 series in such a way that Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya both handed him their trophies. In the Brisbane Test, with the Indian cricket team plagued by injuries, T Natarajan made his debut at the Gabba and he got the big wickets of Marnus Labuschagne and Matthew Wade to break the partnership and get India back in the game. Ajinkya Rahane's team registered a brilliant three-wicket win as they won the series 2-1 and retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the third straight time.

The exploits of T Natarajan saw him getting a grand welcome in his hometown and recently on Twitter, Natarajan shared some photos which were simply magnificent. In the photos on his official Twitter handle, Natarajan tweeted, "I was elated, ecstatic and extremely surprised by the reception at my hometown, Chinnappampatti. Thanks a ton for the love and support." T Natarajan was garlanded and he was given a chariot ride around his village while there was a massive gathering of fans despite the coronavirus situation. Firecrackers were also burst as T Natarajan finally made it into the big league of Indian cricket after his magnificent exploits for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2020. 

T Natarajan's IPL heroics

In the IPL 2020, T Natarajan impressed for Sunrisers Hyderabad with his death overs bowling. In the game against Chennai Super Kings, T Natarajan kept MS Dhoni quiet in the death overs as the ultimate finisher failed to drag his team over the line. The display against Chennai Super Kings saw him being hailed by the likes of Washington Sundar and Ravichandran Ashwin. However, it was his yorker that cleaned up AB de Villiers in the Eliminator against Royal Challengers Bangalore that made him the talking point in social media.

In his ODI debut, T Natarajan picked up two wickets but went for 70 runs in Canberra but India still won that match to begin their turnaround in Australia. In the Twenty20 series, T Natarajan made a big impact on his T20I debut in Canberra, taking three wickets for 30 runs. He followed that with a solid bowling spell in Sydney, taking two wickets for 30 runs. In the final T20I at the SCG, the left-arm fast bowler went for 33 runs off his four overs with a solitary wicket.
