The fight was the continuation of the spat James Anderson had the previous day with Jasprit Bumrah at the end of Day 3.
The verbal spat between Indian skipper Virat Kohli and England pacer James Anderson on Day 4 of the Lord's Test had surely got all on the edge of their seat.
The fight was the continuation of the spat Anderson had the previous day with Jasprit Bumrah at the end of Day 3. The verbal fight between the bowler and Indian captain was caught on stump mic and Kohli was seen abusing Anderson.
Apparently, Anderson and Bumrah were seen having a dispute after the veteran bowler faced bouncers while batting. However, while Kohli and Anderson had a spat, the Indian captain reminded him about his fight with Bumrah.
According to what was heard on the stump mic, Kohli told Anderson, "You are swearing at me? Like you did to Bumrah?. This isn't your f**king backyard"
Anderson must have said something more which was inaudible and Kohlu was heard saying, "Yeah yeah yeah, Chirp chirp chirp".
Kohli unhappy with Anderson 'you swearing at me again are you?'. Anderson replies with few words, Kohli tells him 'this isn't your f... backyard'. #INDvENG

Why fans were divided on Kohli's reaction towards Anderson, the Englishman's long-time bowling partner, Stuart Broad, who is missing the ongoing Test due to calf injury, highlighted Anderson's supremacy at Lord's.
"The Lord's honours board suggests it’s as close to Jimmy’s backyard as Jimmy’s actual backyard. Love the fire but that language will have him in trouble," wrote Broad.

As for the clash, Day 4 saw the Indian skipper being dismissed on 20 off 31 by Sam Curran before the lunch break. Senior batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane had steadied the innings after lunch and kept England at bay. However, soon the two batsmen were sent back along with Ravindra Jadeja as India lost three quick wickets.
India have a 154 runs lead and Rishabh Pant along with Ishant Sharma are at the crease as Day 5 is all set to begin.
