South Africa registered their second win in the ICC World Test Championship when they defeated Sri Lanka by an innings in the first Test at Centurion. Faf du Plessis was dismissed for 199 and attacking fifties from Dean Elgar, Aiden Markram and Keshav Maharaj helped South Africa register a massive score. Sri Lanka were plagued by injuries with as many as six players being injured in the first Test. Dhananjaya de Silva has been ruled out of the series while the likes of Dinesh Chandimal, Kasun Rajitha are all suffering from injuries and are racing against time to be fit for the Test in Johannesburg.
