Son of late Jagmohan Dalmiya elected as CAB president, Sourav Ganguly's brother Snehasish becomes secretary

Avishek Dalmiya, son of former BCCI President Late Jagmohan Dalmiya has been elected as the new president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB).

Avishek Dalmiya, son of former BCCI President Late Jagmohan Dalmiya has been elected as the new president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB).

Avishek Dalmiya became the youngest CAB Chief at the age of 38 years.

Snehasish Ganguly, elder brother of Sourav Ganguly has been elected as the new secretary of CAB.

As Sourav Ganguly's deputy, Avishek was actively involved in the organization of the first-ever Day/Night Test India played at the Eden Gardens against Bangladesh in 2019.

About Avishek, he first made his entry into sports administration in football after he became a member of the governing body of Indian Football Association in 2012-13.

His father, Jagmohan Dalmiya, is regarded as one of the leaders who brought about huge changes in Indian cricket administration. 

Jagmohan Dalmiya had joined the BCCI in 1979 as Cricket Association of Bengal representative and became treasurer of the body in 1983.
