Surely the sentence 'bench-strength' has rung in everyone mind and surely when it comes to the Indian set-up, it makes it more clear. The Indian team management had to choose their 15-member squad from the number of options they had. Now going into the first clash of the tournament against Pakistan, one question arises is who would be the spinner Team India will go ahead with.

India has Varun Chakaravarthy, Ravichandran Ashwin, Rahul Chahar and Ravindra Jadeja in spinners. While Jadeja will mostly find a spot due to his batting, the other spot is left open.

Talking about the same, former India cricketer and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar shared his playing XI on the social media platform, Koo. Manjrekar went on to pick Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) spinner Varun Chakaravarthy over the experienced R Ashwin.

The 56-year-old also chose Shardul Thakur and not Bhuvneshwar Kumar and his side also had no place for Ishan Kishan. Manjrekar picked Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah.

"Rohit Virat Rahul Surya Hardik Pant Jadeja Shardul Shami Bumrah Varun. My India playing XI for tonight. #IndvPak #T20WORLDCUP", Manjrekar posted.

As for the clash, Team India face Pakistan on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium in a Super 12 fixture and will be hoping to seal a win.

Led by Kohli, India will also be aiming to reach the knockout stages and even win their second T20 World Cup title after having won it in the inaugural edition in 2007.
