The 35th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 was nothing but entertaining as openers Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) went on a rampage after being sent to bat first by Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
The Sharjah Stadium was set ablaze with the powerful performance and both openers reached their half-centuries as well. However, Kohli who needed 66 runs to become the first Indian and fifth overall player to complete 10,000 T20 runs, was seen getting dismissed after scoring 53.
Before the start of the clash, Kohli also needed 105 runs to complete 1000 IPL runs against CSK. He could become the first player to get the feat.
But Dwayne Bravo stood in Kohli's way and Ravindra Jadeja, who was at deep midwicket took the catch easily. The RCB skipper had started off with a bang but slowed down as his innings progressed.

As for the clash, RCB had got off to a good start but lost wickets soon after. Padikkal scored 70, AB de Villiers departed for 12, Glenn Maxwell for 11 and debutant Tim David went for 1.
Shardul Thakur and Dwayne Bravo took two wickets each while Deepak Chahar took one for CSK to stop RCB's run flow.
