India's win over Sri Lank and Australia's loss to South Africa have got the Men in Blue the top spot on the points table. This means that Team India will now be facing New Zealand.

While all are busy celebrating the success of India's victory, there is one thing in common from 2008's U-19 World Cup semi-finals that has got Twitter's attention.

During 2008's U-19 World Cup semi-finals, the two teams that faced off each other were India and New Zealand. What came in as a surprise was the similarities between the two semi-finals.

Skippers:

Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson had both led their side during the 2008 U-19 semi-finals. Both going to face off each other in 2019 ODI World Cup semi-final, again as captains of their respective countries. 

Other players:

Not just the captains even Ravindra Jadeja, Trent Boult and Tim Southee also played in the semi-final clash. Kohli even went on to take the wicket of Williamson, while Southee took the Indian skipper's wicket.

Kohli was named as the Player of the Match.

World Cup 2019: 

The two captains will once again face each other. While India went on to beat the Kiwis by 3 wickets, this semi-finals will take place on Tuesday (9 July) in Old Trafford Cricket Ground.
