Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who were looking to make a place in the top 2, could not manage a win against bottom-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

It did seem like an easy target to chase, but RCB were stunned by SRH who went on to win by 4 runs. The side had put SRH to bat first and they posted 141 on the scoreboard.

RCB opener Devdutt Padikkal, who has been in a prime form, however, failed to go all guns blazing like he always does, and went on to consume 52 balls. The batter could only manage 41 runs which turned out to be frustrating for fans.

Padikkal's failure to shift gears soon saw him getting slammed with people calling it a "Test innings." Not just that many even compared his knock with that of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni, who himself was recently criticised for "wasting balls".

Why was MS Dhoni trolled?

In the clash against Delhi Capitals (DC), CSK skipper Dhoni faced the wrath of fans on social media after the Yellow Army posted a sub-par target of 137. Dhoni did not make much impact with the bat and scored just 18 runs off 27 balls. What's more shocking is that his innings did not consist of any boundary.

In the ongoing clash against Punjab Kings (PBKS) as well Dhoni 12 off 15 balls, but had to depart courtesy to Ravi Bishnoi's exceptional bowling.
