After an excruciating wait for eight months due to COVID-19, the 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has finally got its two finalists. The Qalandars defeated the Multan Sultans in the second eliminator on Sunday to book their spot in the final to be played on November 17.
David Wiese was the topic of discussion for his all-round display for the Qalandars. However, what stole the limelight was pacer Haris Rauf, who picked up three crucial wickets during his four-over spell and one of them being of legendary Shahid Afridi.
A superb display by Pakistan's Haris Rauf

The moment the bowler got Afridi out was what got netizens talking. The all-rounder had come to bat after the fall of Rilee Rossouw’s wicket in the 14th over. The stage was set for him to play a quickfire knock and keep his team in the hunt, however, Haris Rauf had other plans as he steamed in and bowled a sensational in-swinging yorker at 145.9 kph to shatter Afridi’s middle stump.
Interestingly, after bowling such an unplayable delivery, he straightaway folded his hands to apologise to former Pakistan cricketer.

As for the PSL, the tournament had to be stopped abruptly after the league stage in March due to the coronavirus outbreak. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) managed to create a bio-bubble for the playoffs and fans witnessed three top-quality matches with Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars making it to the final.
