Noman Ali made history by becoming the first Pakistani spinner to achieve a rare milestone on the first day of the ongoing second Test between Pakistan and West Indies.
Noman Ali made history during the second Test match between Pakistan and West Indies at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Saturday, January 25. He became the first spinner from Pakistan to achieve a hat-trick in Test cricket, marking an incredible milestone.
This was accomplished on the first day of the contest by the 38-year-old left-arm spinner. On the second delivery of the tenth over, Noman dismissed West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite in front of the wickets, beginning his amazing performance.
In the 12th over, he completed his hat-trick by dismissing Ali Justin Greaves, Tevin Imlach, and Kevni Sinclair. Noman's hat-trick was secured after Babar Azam's outstanding catch at Gully made sure that Sinclair's edge was taken.

Before Noman, the first Pakistani bowler to achieve a hat-trick in Test cricket was Wasim Akram, who did so twice in March 1999 against Sri Lanka. Noman now joins an elite group of only five Pakistani bowlers to have completed a hat-trick in Test cricket, with Naseem Shah being the most recent, achieving this against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi in 2020.
Noman is also the fifth player overall and the second bowler from Pakistan to record a hat-trick in the World Test Championship (WTC). This prestigious list includes India's Jasprit Bumrah, who was the first bowler to achieve a hat-trick in a WTC match against West Indies in August-September 2019. Naseem Shah, South Africa's Keshav Maharaj, and England's Gus Atkinson have also accomplished this impressive feat in the WTC.
