New Zealand batsman Henry Nicholls ties knot with girlfriend Lucy

New Zealand batsman Henry Nicholls got married to his lady love Lucy ahead of his side's three-match England Tour including the World Test Championship (WTC) final against India next month. The left-handed batsman shared the news on Instagram.

Nicholls got engaged to Lucy last year in June after dating each other for almost 7 years. "Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you Lucy. Thanks to everyone for the lovely messages, we’re overwhelmed and extremely grateful to have such amazing family and friends," he had said after he shared a picture of their engagement on June 5, 2020.

Now, after being engaged for almost a year, the couple tied the knot in a private affair. Both Lucy and Henry were seen hand-in-hand as the 29-year old was congratulated by his teammate and his friends on social media.

Sharing the good news, Nicholls captioned the picture saying, "Mr & Mrs Nicholls."

Nicholls, who is in England for his side's two-match Test series in a build-up to the summit clash starting June 18, has become one of the most important components of Kiwi middle-order over the past few years, especially in the Test matches.

Nicholls had a fantastic home season with a couple of centuries and a highest of 174. after making his debut for New Zealand in 2016, the left-hander has played 37 Test matches, scoring 2152 runs at an average of 43.92, with 10 fifties and 7 centuries.
