Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) all-rounder Vijay Shankar is facing the brunt of angry netizens for not being up to mark against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Match 28 saw him dropping the catch of Jos Buttler, in the fifth over of the first innings. Asking RR to bat first, Kane Williamson gave the bowling responsibility to Rashid Khan in the powerplay in order to get dangerman Buttler out.

There was a very good chance, but Shankar being late to react, saw Buttler go on to score 124.

In that particular over, Buttler had danced down and nearly holed out at long-on. He, however, doesn't get the elevation, with the ball flying off the inside half, but Shankar in the deep is late to react, falling just short of him.

While bowling, Shankar did get a wicket of RR skipper Sanju Samson but it was a little too late as RR finished off with scores of 220. Shankar leaked 42 runs in his allotted three overs.

Seeing his fielding effort, and also his batting form in the games got netizens angry on the all-rounder.

As for the clash, Shankar did not damage with the bat as well as he scored only 8 off 8 balls.
