It was in 2004, in Multan when Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag went on to bat in the Test series against Pakistan and did not stop till he scored his maiden triple-century earning him the name 'Multan ka Sultan'.

The triple-ton made him the first Indian to score a triple Test century, blasting 309 runs. He stayed for 531 minutes on-field and faced 375 balls as he went on to hit 39 fours and smashed 6 sixes.

On March 29, 16 years ago India had toured Pakistan and the intensity between the two arch-rivals was visible. Opener Sehwag, in the first innings of the Test match, was accompanied by Aakash Chopra for Rahul Dravid led team.

He faced the attacking bowling unit of Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Sami, and Abdul Razzaq. Sehwag hammered the hosts away. and his historic innings came to an end after he was caught out by Taufeeq Umar on Sami's delivery.

Despite, Sehwag's departure, the bashing did not stop as Sachin Tendulkar added his 194* and fell six runs short of his double ton. Tendulkar smashed 21 fours in the 348 balls he faced.

India had put on a mammoth total of 675/5 and declared. Despite Mohammud Yousuf's ton, India defeated Pakitan by an innings and 52 runs as the hosts made 407 & 216.

Apart from the 'Fab Four', comprising of Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman, and Rahul Dravid, Sehwag established his place in the league as he was recognised as a match-winner.
