MS Dhoni meets Amit Shah for BJP's Sampark for Samarthan

Former India captain MS Dhoni met BJP chief Amit Shah as part of party's extensive nationwide 'Sampark for Samarthan' programme on Sunday.

The meeting took place in Delhi on Sunday evening.

MS Dhoni is currently on break from cricket as India is playing a test series against England. Dhoni has retired from the longest format in 2014. 

MS Dhoni recently turned up for a TNPL game between Madurai Panthers and Kovai Kings in  Tirunelveli.

BJP's Sampark for Samarthan

In recent past, BJP president has met the likes of Lata Mangeshkar, former cricket captain Kapil Dev, former Lok Sabha secretary general Subhash C Kashyap, former chief justice of India R C Lahoti, film star Madhuri Dixit and ex-Army chief Gen (Retd) Dalbir Singh Suhag.

The unique 'Sampark se Samarthan' campaign was launched by BJP chief on May 29 coinciding with completion of four years of the Narendra Modi government and meeting out prominent citizens and enlist their feedback with the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in mind.

About 4,000 BJP functionaries, including chief ministers, union ministers and panchayat members across the country have set a target of meeting over one lakh people.
