IND vs ENG, London weather forecast, 4th Test Day 1: Likely playing XI, pitch report and all you need to know

Team India who had done a wonderful job of winning the 2nd Test at Lord's saw them losing badly against England at Leeds in the third Test in the ongoing five-match Test series.

The series is tied 1-1 after the first match was washed out due to rain. Now moving to the fourth Test, England will host India at the Kennington Oval, London from September 2 to September 6.

Both teams will be making a couple of changes to their playing XIs for the upcoming Test as the weather and pitch will play an important role. 

For the Three Lions, Chris Woakes could make a return to Test cricket, Sam Billings is filling in for Jos Buttler. The latter is expecting the birth of his second child and Jonny Bairstow will take responsibility as the wicketkeeper.

As for India, they are likely to bring in Ravichandran Ashwin as given the pitch. Ravindra Jadeja is expected to sit out, especially owning to his injury. Ishant Sharma could also be seen missing the fourth Test, who had an abysmal performance in Leeds.

According to AccuWeather, London will be cloudy with bits of sunshine peeking in every now and then. The first three days, there will be sunshine, but from day four onwards, it could get cloudy with a breeze. The fifth day may see showers making an appearance as well. 

The weather could favour the bowlers, especially spinners, on the batting-friendly wicket.

The Oval pitch has been known to favour batters; however, the weather could change things real quick. With overcast conditions, the side winning the toss could opt to bat first. 

The conditions could also provide plenty of assistance to pacers and the spinners could make their impact in the final two days of the match.
